KN95 masks are used for filtering particulate, filtrates 95% a 0.3 micron including viruses. KN95 respirators have been shown to be the equivalent of Niosh N95 rated respirators according to a technical bulletin published by 3M. They are CE certified for FFP2 protective masks, and they meet N95-level requirements.
The KN95 and N95 Mask are both respiratory masks that have recently been adopted into the health sector due to its effectiveness on filtration against Covid-19.
However, because of the increase in demand of the known N95 Masks and government seizure of all available supplies; the FDA has approved the use of other respiratory masks that meet the standards and specifications.
